METU is organizing and performing different programs and activities to supports the innovation based enterpreneurship for enterpreneurs and graduates. "New Ideas New Businesses" is one of these activities which has been realizing with METUTECH for six years.

The main aim of this competition is, realize and manage the transformation of innovative ideas into businesses.

Under the scope of this aim, private award category creates chances for sector focused enterpreneurs. The main aims of communication category are;

Increase the awareness of communication in Turkey,
Improving the development capacity of communication technologies in Turkey,
Advertising the communication technology investors and businesses for graduates.

DEEP NOTES and REMINDERS:

*The Communication Category applicants can apply for the other categories, Elginkan Foundation Technology Category and Industry Category, with the same project. If juries find the projects appropriate enough for award, apllicants have a right to win two prizes.

* The Communication Category applicants can not apply for Private Award of Defence Category.

*Private awards program process parallel with the "New Ideas, New Businesses" Competition.

*Özel Ödül sürecinde finallere 5 ekip seçilecek, bu ekiplerden 2 tanesi "Final2" olarak adlandırılan ama YFYİ Final4'le aynı gün gerçekleştirilecek etkinlikte sunum yapma hakkına sahip olacaktır. Kısaca özetlemek gerekirse YFYİ Genel Kategoride Yarışan ve Telekomünikasyon Özel Ödülü için yarışan ekiplerin toplamı, ikinci aşamada toplam 15, Final aşamasında toplam 6 olacaktır.
